Joblens Help
Quick Start
On this page
Your first job photos, in a few steps. You do not need to create an account or sign in to Joblens.
1. Take your first photo
- Open Camera in the bottom menu.
- Check where the photo will be saved. Choose Inbox if you want to sort it later, or choose a project.
- Take a photo. Allow camera access if your phone asks.
- Open Gallery or the project to see it.
2. Create a project
- Open Projects.
- Tap Create project.
- Give the project a name. You can also choose a start date.
- Save it.
Use a name you will recognise, such as a job number or a customer name. Inbox is for photos you have not sorted yet.
3. Add photos and notes
Select photos in Gallery and move them to the right project. To bring in photos already on your phone, use the import button in Gallery.
Open a photo and tap its note button to add details. Open a project to add a note about the whole job.
4. Choose whether to use cloud storage
This is optional. Your photos and notes can stay on your phone.
- Open Settings > Cloud storage.
- Choose Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or Nextcloud.
- Follow that provider's steps to allow Joblens to connect. For Nextcloud, you will also need your server address.
- Return to Joblens and tap Sync now.
- Check the results. If something needs attention, open Activity or get help.
Joblens uses one cloud provider at a time. Read the cloud storage guide before archiving photos or changing providers.
5. Keep important photos safe
Keep another copy of important work. Check that a photo is in your cloud storage before removing the copy on your phone.
Deleted photos stay in Trash for 30 days unless you remove them sooner. Permanently deleted photos cannot be restored through Joblens.
